I've run that Linden Blvd a few times...it's like the one driver said semi truck friendly but you can get thru the zig zags....they have these little signs posted at street corners with arrows saying "truck route" , I hate the place personally, then again which driver doesn't. Just be aware of one thing that the bridge heights on a burnt orange sign are 12 inches less than the actual bridge height and the ones on a white sign with black lettering are the actual bridge heights. I've delivered mini fridges to a shipper over there and the bridge says 12'-7" it's in burnt orange signage, but is actually 13'-7", first time I drove under that thing I had flashers on and investigated, for that shipper you have no choice but to go under that bridge than its an immediate right after it. They do this for snow, yeah don't ask me, it's a NYC logic....anyways, just wanted to pass that on to ya

It's a local truck route in Brooklyn but I've never been on it in Queens and it is not shown on the map as a truck route in that area. Just for fun I did my usual recon work with google maps street view and some of those overhead clearances along that route look low to me.
If I were driving I would run 678 all the way down to exit 1 and stay in the middle lane to fork left. Follow signs for Belt Parkway East and take the truck exit to get on to Conduit Blvd. (Make sure you're paying close attention here and don't get on Belt Parkway...its well marked no trucks). Follow that down to Springfield Blvd. make the left. That is a major through route for trucks and you should be able to get to your local street from there. -
Thanks for your help guys/gals. Linden blvd was perfect!!!! While there was no parking there though....... Through all of my searching I actually found that linden blvd is a truck route, the locals prefer that trucks use exit 2 and 4 instead of 3.
So right as I'm getting off linden blvd there is a sign that says truck route exit 2.... I take linden anyway. The truck route sign shows up about 2 miles east.... the 2 mile stretch from 678 to some street I can't remember the name of is a designated truck route the signs have just been taken down by locals. -
^^^ Glad you made it, man! Tractor & trailer in-tact as well, LoL~!
bzinger Thanks this. -
Yeah they are not big on posting signs in easy to see locations here .
G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
Rockaway Blvd. is okay to use. That's a local truck route in Queens I'm pretty sure.G13Tomcat Thanks this.

I used to run Linden across rather than take the Van Wyck to the airport. Hated both ways. I don't understand these guys who say "New York is no different than other big cities". Sure! And they've never taken Linden to the airport!G13Tomcat Thanks this.

Atlantic Ave is a little better to cut across to the airport. It leads right into Conduit Blvd. and then you're basically there. Even the Taxis go that way sometimes if the hwy is jammed. Actually if you're stuck in traffic on the hwy you can get off at 39th St and run 4th Ave. up to Atlantic.
Linden Blvd I don't like. Those S-curves in East New York are dangerous and you'll wreck your trailer at exit 24 getting onto 27 from BQE because of how narrow it is. -
I used to want to get off the BQE as quickly as possible. I think I was hauling 48' which made that exit a little more tolerable.
