Sounds Interesting. I filled out a app today I should hear something by monday. What are the freight rates looking like right now?

 

Also when booking freight. Say for example if I want a load that I see off my Laptop can I book it directly or do I have too get it approved from my fleet manager?

 

They are all interstate loads so all you have to do is be the first one that clicks the button saying you want that load then you will receive conformation a few minutes later with all the info you need. So yes you can book it directly and don't have to talk to anyone.

 

But it does take someone else pushing another button to get it on your truck.

I only know a few people doing well on the east side. Most complain about lack of freight. You may be better to find a company that works that side of the country.

 

I would perfer schneider but because I have my own truck they wont allow me to come on, and I have to get my hazmat in order to go to landstar. So i figured Interstate would be a decent choice. The company im with now has a load board that is a complete, absolute joke.

 

Your truck older than 8yrs? This guy brought his truck into the program from roadrunner

 

Its a 2012 Cascadia. I'm not so sure why I'm unable to bring my truck on with them personally. I know at one point before I bought a truck they had a freeze on hiring O/O's, and then they started hiring again. That was about a year and some months ago. I would think that they will not take me on because I already have my own truck and most likely they probably would rather me lease one of their trucks versus me bringing my own. More profit in the pocket i would assume.

 

Anyone on the freedom board that live in florida? I'm trying to get on the board but the recruiter say they not taking anyone that live in florida

 

What part of Florida? I live in South Georgia and I was okay to get on. They did warn me that it may be difficult to get home.
