Nah, I figured Mercer had a more extensive list than the one on Mercertown. I was just curious because LS has the online demo and webinar but I haven't heard much about van rates at Mercer. The recruiter that I spoke with the other day read a few off of the board to me and some of the rates weren't that bad. I know some recruiters will tell you anything to get you in the door. I like to ask O/Os about the company. Some drivers lie but everyone doesn't tell the same lie.
@spyder7723 are they still taking Quality trucks at Mercer? A friend of mine wants to get one, lease it on at Mercer and put her brother in it. I don't see how she will make any money if she does that.

Yes, they were quick. I sent all the necessary paperwork quickly.Chickadee Thanks this.

Van rates suck! Ok that's out of they way. I doubt the recruiter lied about anything. We are not a mega, Mercer wants happy drivers not just steering wheel holders. A long time ago they realized drivers want honesty (good or bad).Airborne, RStewart and The Boss Lady Thank this.

Yes, I prefer honesty. Van rates suck everywhere which is why I may consider going back into flatbed later.
-
I remembered seeing you post that you wished you would have gone longer. What was the wheelbase on your old truck? Wasn't it a Cascadia? And did you pull a flat with it at Mercer before you bought the new truck or was it just a van?

Made it to Mercertown!
Now I can kick back and watch the race. The Boss Lady, RStewart and Chickadee Thank this. -
@CJndaTruck i'm surprised that the 240 inch isn't adequate, especially with a Conestoga.
What is your king pin depth? -
It was a Cascadia. 232" if I recall right. I pulled flat and had no issues with it for about a year here at Mercer.
Welcome to your new home. Make yourself comfy LOLfarmboy73 Thanks this. -
Lol, this is my last home because I plan to retire here.
I have a short wheelbase 232" Cascadia and it works. I can have some hangover on the front but haven't tried anything over 24". Still would like a longer wheelbase truck, but it does the job.farmboy73 Thanks this. -
Pete, did you take that cable load to Marissa, IL ?
