Ive enjoyed reading your Log Book 101. LOL Im beginning to grasp the concept since I have never even seen a log book but maybe next month when I start school it wont seem so greek to me when they start discussing log books. At least you put it in terms that can be understood as opposed to some of the half wits that try to tell you how to log and yet have trouble theirselves.

Yes. Each time you come off a 10 hour or more rest break you will get a brand new 14 hour clock regardless what is left on your 70 hour clock. Even if you had worked 69 hours and had a 10 hour break and had 1 legal hour to drive, you'd still be afforded the full 14 hour clock to do it in.

Do not try to put Recaps in with the 11/14 hr rules... Recaps only let you gain hours back. You gain 5 hours back, your day ends at the end of the 5 hours, no matter how much is left on your 11/14

You drop to line 3 or 4 your 14 hour day starts. You drop down at 8am, your day ends at 10pm, unless you drive your 11 hours limit first, or you hit the time you gained back on a recap.

He meant your driving day ends.

If you start your 14 hour clock at 0200AM, 14 hours later is 1600PM. In that span of time you will not have been allowed to exceed 8 hours (your recap in this case) driving time, so yes you could drive some, pull over and sleep or take in the sights and drive some more and pull over some more just do not exceed the 8 hours on the drive line and do not drive past 1600PM of course.

    Shortstuff09_40 Thanks this.

Well, the time machine says I'm on duty for 32 hours and driving 13 hour. so it seemed like the 14-hour on-duty and 11 hour driving time have been violated .. what is gonna happen ? This happened to me too tired of this week. How long until the violation disappear for the machine?

The violation will be viewable on the machine to DOT officers for 7 days and viewable to DOT auditors back at your company's office for 6 months.

Is that mean if I don't get inspected in 7 days I'm good .. ? I was at the loading dock for 5 hours waiting and then have to deliver the load on the following 7am morning drive throughout the whole night to get there.1200 miles..
