deka makes their own batteries at East Penn mfg.
they also make CAT batteries
most all other batteries including interstate are made by johnson controls .
I used to haul them out of Middletown Delaware
. inside they are the same.
the only difference is the case they come in
they go down the same assembly line .
the better batteries have the better warranty no matter what it says on the outside -

Interstate AGM batteries or regular lead/acid batteties?

I use Exide lead acid batteries, they last about 4-5 years.
The last set I bought was in 2013 and they're still working well.

AGM batteries are the best and last longer than lead acid batteries.
I buy all mine at the outlet store@Deka batteries (East Penn MFG) near Kutztown Pa.
I buy factory seconds for a fraction of full price. -
NEED FOUR GOOD BATTERIES TO GET ME THROUGH THE WINTER MONTHS
