Couple of chains and that trailer would be empty.

That was my thinking. They'd be coming in the next morning to a pile of steel in the middle of their parking lot.
You mean like the one that's sitting right there 10 feet away?

They wouldn't have to unload it if that was my trailer. As loose as that stuff is, you could probably back up and slam on the brakes a few times. If not, a chain and a light post works. I'd get my empty trailer the heck out of there and never go back.

If this is what they load on flatbeds, what the heck do they put in that end dump!?

Probably skids of nicely stacked material that's all neat, straight, and banded together.

That just reminded me of something. The company I work for has all kinds of trailers. When the frac sand gets slow, we can go do something else if we want. Well one day I hooked to a dry van and went to Dallas to grab a load and bring back. Backed in to my dock (this is a big outfit, probably 25-30 doors) and next to me was a steel, square-bottom end dump, loading the same pallets I was loading. Had a nice tarp on it, so no problems. I dunno, maybe it happens a lot, but I'd never seen an end dump loading pallets at a big dock full of vans.

I bet the shipper didn't wrap it enough and it fell over during route. So he just added more straps

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
