Who would've ever thunk that ####?

7 years in. Hotel maybe 10 times in these 7 years, other than that home every day driving a day cab in these 7 years. Made 6 figures the last 5 years

Trucking is the best decision I've ever made by a wide margin

Also I gained 100lbs in my first 3 years going from 200lbs to 300lbs

BUT I lost it all in 1 year and I'm been down to 180lbs now for the last 3 years

Losing it was willpower. I decided as a truck driver I did not need to eat very much at all being I was burning no calories, so I ate around 1200-1500 calories the 6 days a week I worked for that 1st year, eating a little more on my day off. Was hungry all the time, but I dealt with it

Since I lost the weight I now eat about 2000 calories a day and am never really hungry. I also go on a 10-15 mile hike with my dog most weeks on my day off

@jamin22, Congratulations on both the weight loss and the million miles. Actually, the weight loss is the better of the two things. Anybody can drive a million miles, if they are in trucking long enough. (I never made it..) But few people can actually lose the kind of weight you are talking about, and fewer still can keep it off.
My biggest loss was sixty pounds, several years ago. Took a couple of years to do it. But gained it all back, plus way too much more.....:(
