Well I don't exactly know what truck to look for. My grey T660 does stand out since there aren't many with an APU on them.

    inkeper Thanks this.

But it isn't the lumpers that I hate, it is the companies that use them and set so many conditions.
If the company says the lumper has to count every single item before the load can be signed off on (and the driver released), it isn't the lumpers fault. Sometimes they have to put everything on different pallets in the process.
And most of that garbage happens at grocery places and dollar stores, it seems to me.
Walmart, even when they use a lumper service, doesn't hold you up for hours to count everything.

Anyway, it's a Flying J day in a Peculiar place just south of KC.

I woke up to the alarm after maybe 2 hours of sleep this morning with rain and wind. I just couldn't get to sleep last night.
No hurry, so I set it for an hour later and the rain and wind had died down.
I got here at around 1330 and I don't leave until around 1430 tomorrow to make my 2300 delivery appointment in Northfield, MN tomorrow night.
Another live unload of grocery stuff. I wonder how that will go.
It's a place called McClane on 5th street, if anyone has any info on them.

This time I reserved a spot at the J, which is about 7 miles away.

This load gets me close to home, but it wasn't designated as my home time load. I expect they will send me a load to t-call at Inver Grove instead of letting me just go there empty. Possibly something out of Post, which is right there.
But that's OK. I don't have any pressing plans, and a short load brings in a bit more money.

I had a 2 stopper recently, lumpers both places. Total lumpers from both places over $500 to unload sort and count. First place reported 1 case short. Second place reported 1 case over. Directed to dispose of 1 case, 60 pounds of perfectly good chicken.
