It once took me 45 minutes to back into a dock at night somewhere in San Diego. They had some really weird dock that was angled 45° from the wall of the warehouse and no lines to follow and of course there wasn't a lot of space in front of me to maneuver. It made me feel like a brand-new driver.BUMBACLADWAR and KillingTime Thank this.

You could just use the whole corpse. Much more wind resistant.scottied67 Thanks this.

I wonder how the Pharoah would feel about being entombed in a used pyramid...?

You demonstrated the effects of being tired on your ability to critically work through problems in your mind.
I had a incident like that once, a wide open choice of 20 plus docks in a facility that had like 30 acres of pavement with nothing blocking my way to work with. I was too tired to get it in there. A little embarrasing to be sure, it is a classic example of how your level of tired makes a hash of easy tasks in your brain.
Hang in there, get some sleep see you next time.BUMBACLADWAR Thanks this. -
I carry with me a 6 foot long piece of hot wheels yellow plastic racing track. I don't know if that is clear. But it is just about 4 inches wide and flexible. It will roll out and I can use it as an emergency stripe to help line me up.
SpiritLink and KillingTime Thank this. -
As an alternative just use pebbles where the paint spots would be on the ground and use your 30 foot tape measure stretched out offset about a foot or two from where you want your trailer wheels as your reference point.

I can see it,
Scotty: how bout you hand, got s second?
Hand: sure driver, what's up?
Scotty: hold this end of my tape measure, so i can draw me some lines to back in.
Hand: the #### you say?!RedRover, KillingTime and scottied67 Thank this.
