Phone lines...

Yeah. We get $78/month extra if we don't have any form of preventable. It used to be $150 before YRC gobbled us up.

 

I drop my trailer and bob tail the truck to the house while at home, theres a low cable line i hit every time i go down my road....waiting for the day i pull it down, I'll then park.the truck behind the garage

 

why not just call the phone company and report the line is too low? Why wait till you actually rip it down..

 

They are a required height... but they may have been put up a long time ago.. never hurts to let them know to move them up. I had to do that a few times over a busy road...

If they are below the min height then it is on them if they get taken down.

 

Our state code says utility and electrical lines going over public roadways have to be at least 16 feet above ground.

Sounds kinda calous of me... But it is up to these companies to retrofit or keep their lines in compliance. I would be reluctant to play phone tag and try to figure out who is responsible for what cable and then trying to get a hold of their maintenance department.
