If I was told to 'dispose' of that much chicken, you can be sure some would be disposed of in my tummy.

At that point, anywhere it goes is fine.

Better yet, did you try to reach a local food bank or homeless shelter?

They rejected it, allegedly for being too bloody. I just tossed it, didn't have time to do anything, had to go pick up my next load. You would think, rather than rejecting, they could have set it aside in their own freezer and later taken it to their local food bank rather than leave it for the driver to figure out in a strange town.

It shouldn't be left to the driver, and no driver should put up with that.
And where do you 'toss' it, as it could be considered hazardous waste?

During the 4 years I had my dog on the truck, many times walking out behind the truckstops we'd find tons of rotting meat and produce reefer haulers had backed up and dumped under cover of darkness, gotta figure it was all rejected meat and produce the drivers were told to dispose of.

Northfield, MN, and about to go to sleep.

That place I delivered to was just like the rest. Lumpers who have to count everything, and take hours doing it.
They finished up just as my 14 expired. That was a 5 hour unload.
I had already reserved a spot at the J just in case. But I had to violate my 14 by about 10 minutes to get here.

And it wasn't until after I did my empty macro that I noticed that some product was left in the trailer.
I'll deal with that after I get some sleep.

Beware of McClane in Northfield, MN!

They almost always have extra product loaded so it is a hassle for the driver.
I found that out when I went to IGH to drop off the trailer. The guy at the dispatch window even knew it was cases of spices because it happens so often. He has pallets full of the stuff, and they can't seem to arrange a return with the shipper.

But I'm at home now, so all is nice and good.
I go back Tuesday, but I need to get back to the terminal a bit early to get a bit inspection. I tried to get it done today but they were short handed and busy.
I'll be on maintenance hold by Sunday, so no pplan until I get it done.

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.

JV Terminal. Picking up something at an abandoned aircraft Hanger in Irvine at midnight. Going straight to NY NY.

Been getting all the oddballs lately. Train axels, dump wagons, now this bizarre piece of equipment that was described as a "teeter totter for SUVs." They do keep things interesting over here, that's for sure.

Been to the McLane, that only took 6.5 hours of my life. Delivering a partial.

Been in or out of the Burroughs 8 times in reefer, never there though, this will be interesting. Going on a stepdeck with a 10ft spread.
