I don't see what there is to disagree with. The regs are very specific on the 2 times pc can be used.
1. To and from lodgings and restaurant.
2. To and from home and terminal.
I'm leaving out the grey areas of distance and laden definition.
If either of those two are not met pc cannot be valid.
Now should pc allow for moving unloaded to a truck stop is another argument, and one I agree should be legal. Currently it is not.

With paper logs you could go over by the lesser of 7.5 minutes without being in violation; the time is to be logged back at the previous 15 minute mark.
-
With paper logs, you could do whatever you wanted so long as it looked good.

One event per week is what we're told, but people around ouf terminal, including dispatchers, look to this like they can build it into a trip plan. I for one refuse to invoke this because one of the three blind mice in the office decides to send me 75 miles out of the way to do a pickup in another driver's area that he just doesn't feel like doing.misterG Thanks this.

So the solution is to drop the trailer at the spot where you ran out of hours and proceed to bobtail to nearest strip bar.
Sound good to me.misterG Thanks this. -
Even better. Find a good spot to leave the wagon, head straight to the barn, and let dispatcher hang for an incredibly stupid decision in the name of favoritism.
They say there's a first time for everything, but we've already had a first time for that one.

Don't worry about it. Just call your log department and let them know you got caught up in unforseen traffic. You can keep driving to the 1st safe haven you come to that you can legally park

Most e logs can only be unverified by the systems administrator whether it's saftey, log department, log auditor, whomever, your company has designated.
You'll find that the button on your system is disabled until they say different.
If it's only a minute or so I wouldn't worry, it's no big deal. It has happened to all of us at one time or another.
Besides most companies will only uncertify a log if you forgot something important or had a major screw up that needed fixing.
When it's just minor infractions, they'll usually just call you on it, explain what you did wrong, slap you on the wrist, and youre on down the road.
