Most drivers don't know how to use the split sleeper berth provision and insist that their breaks have to be 10 solid hours only. OK so get to the customer around noon, do a little obligatory On Duty time to represent checking in then go off duty/sleeper for your 10 while being loaded.
If, however you do know how to split sleeper, get there at 1500 like you say, show some on duty time then take Sleeper break for 8 solid hours and roll out just before midnight. Roll into your customer about 0530 and check in. Take 2 more hours off duty/sleeper and you have completed your 10. You may drive legally off out of the customer only as many hours as you had not burned off your 11 since before midnight though.
Here is one load I did. Stopped short of my delivery by about 200 miles due to the time I would arrive would be no parking. So I did an 8 hour sleeper. Then arrive at customer about 5 hours early. Log it as sleeper, again for 8 hours since it took them some time to unload me. Get my next load offer, trip plan it,I can make it by morning but washouts open after appt time. OK, race over to washout just as they are closing, get washed out and log sleeper again for 8 hours. Roll into customer 4 hours early and stay there for again an 8 hour sleeper while they load me. Roll out 300 some miles and take 2 hours off and ready to roll 300 more miles more or less then take an 8 sleeper again or a ful 10.
All of this is 100% legal by the green book.LloydToo, x1Heavy and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
You can't make it there legally even if you slept at the shipper. You need to call the con and see if they have trk parking or a place close by you can park otherwise tell your dispatcher to reschedule. If its a FCFS then your dispatcher will have to settle for whenever you get there and don't let him intimidate you.

I think you misread the information patty. He can easily make it there legally, with hours to spare. His concern is running out of hours while waiting to get unloaded.
My response is to find somewhere to park within creeping distance. Many others response is to tell the dispatch to get it rescheduled....to each his own -
Well ya that's what I'm talking about, within creeping distance so it doesn't disturb elogs but if he can't find a place close then reschedule.TheRipper Thanks this.

Oh I'm sorry, I must have misunderstood you. I hope you didn't take what I said as rude!
But to the OP, Google Earth is your friend, as well as trucker path. Usually you can find a spot that will work for a short night...usually.... -
No worries you're fine.

Theres always a place to park!
larry2903 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
One of the secrets of covertly parking is that it has to be done covertly.
fargonaz, crb and BigTennOTR Thank this. -
I cannot answer your question without understanding where A you are being loaded and unloaded and B where you physically are at the beginning of this hours of service conflict.
Remember your log book tells you when to quit work and also there are laws against being forced to run illegally off your logs. You might not have a job anymore, but if you document everything for unemployment they will lose the case and you will have a chance to hire on to a better company.
