I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

Well, to be fair, the techs haven't had a chance to do their thing yet. Not really their fault they were too backed up to get to me.

 

Truck in shop now.

I used a small space heater and extra blanket to stay warm. That works well as long as it isn't really cold. Then they provide a hotel. Trucks don't idle. I'm not asking for breakdown pay because I was here anyway for my 34. Also, it's in the shop now.

Offered to come back when they aren't so covered up but was told since the part is en route now they would go ahead and finish the repair. Freight waiting when it's done.

 

Bulk heater fixed, but the tech noticed the charge cooler was making noise when he pulled it in so he checked it out. Sure enough, it needs replaced. Looks like I'm here til tomorrow.

Load waiting tomorrow morning. At least I've got some breakdown pay coming.

 

Pick up tomorrow morning in Byhalia (sounds like a Gospel singer from the 70s) delivers Thursday morning in NJ.

 

Went to Walmart to shop a little. Went to pay for my stuff. Discovered I somehow lost my platinum card. Pretty sure it was at Pilot earlier today. Grrrrrr.

 

A fellow driver suggested I make a pendant out of my father's SF insignia. That's a pretty good idea.

 

Sorry JJ, but I spent last night at Petro in Rapine VA
