Now that ol' man Acklie is gone, what's the word on Crete? I used to work for them, and they were good. But that was when Mr Acklie was around, making sure the drivers were the number one concern. Now that Mr Acklie has departed, I imagine CCC will slowly fall into the dark abyss of the Swifts, Schneiders, Englands, or they'll be bought out by one of those. Anyone know the latest at Crete?

^^^^^^ If you change your poem in your signature, you might get more replies. Just sayin... imho. YRC and OVNT ... a bit outdated~!!! Nothing against Swift, whatsoever.
    Be safe.

Duane wasn't doing much as far as running things for quite a while. He'd pop thru a terminal from time to time, but Tonn was in charge of day to day operations. (Duane might have been looking over his shoulder while he did it) The only thing that would change after he passed might be because the possibility of Duane coming in and kicking Tonn's butt isn't there now, Tonn might get on a power trip.(more than usual)

im with crete , 2nd week
the loads are good, some small runs but i got 2 good 1800 mile loads.
the only thing that is pissing me off is the idle, specifically the opti-idle on my truck does not work and they (crete) could care less.

    Rollr4872 and csmith1281 Thank this.

    Does the bunk heater work?
Opti idle is for AC only in my truck, Freightliner.
I would call and get a hotel room or place my broom handle between the seat and the fuel pedal to raise the idle so that it would idle nonstop.

LoL... i caught that. Married to an ex-English teacher that speaks Spanish, Italian, and some Hawaiian, I'm always in trouble for my misspoken dangling participles. She HATES those double-negatives, busts me every time!
