I have recently obtained both a Fleet One fuel card and a Comdata fuel card for my business. I have used Comdata in the past when leased to other carriers, but know there are many fees that go along with its use. Fore example, depending on where you fuel, Comdata will charge $1.50 to $2.50 to fuel and then charge you to make a payment. While Fleet One only charges a flat rate of $6 per month but only offers a $.10 per gallon discount.
Have any of you found one card better than the other? Does Comdata offer better overall fuel discounts than Fleet One which makes paying the fees a negligible advantage? Are there any hidden fees that one needs to be aware when using either card?

I have used Fleet One and was very happy how it all worked.you can also customize the card, set spending amounts per day, cash advances per day.

We followed the promises of Fleet One and are now an ex-Fleet One customer. I would be hard pressed to find a worse company than them.

I use a FleetOne card because of NASTC. The discounts I get with them are worth it. FleetOne isn't the best, but their fee is $3/mo for me.

We used Comdata, Fleet One and Flyers Energy. I like Comdata for the comcheck or cash advance when needed and their website for reporting. Don't like the fees and ACH only payments. Flyers Energy, I LOVE them, best company to work with, great website, easy online payments. Fleet One, I'm like Bill, an ex-customer. There isn't a soap box big enough for me to get on to comment on them.

FleetOne is terrible. Made a payment on Monday at 3:47pm. There cut-off is 4:30 eastern time, 3:30 central time. They stated our payment was late and charged a $75 late fee. They're unwilling to work for us. Our lawyer is sending a demand letter and calling them for $75. Sounds a bit too much, but to be honest this isn't the first time their system failed to process a payment when it was originally made. They lie about everything. The only positive things I will say about FleetOne is the lack of transaction fees. There's a $6/month account fee for having the account open. Then $3/per PlusChek/cash advance. No fees for transactions at pumps, but their fuel discounts are a joke.
Comdata is great for cash advances/comcheks, but their fees are less great. You pay $1/transaction. $57/month for account maintenance fees. $15/comchek and cash advances.
To be honest it's almost better to pay in cash. You get the cash price without the discount, but you'll save the money that these fees take from you.KB3MMX Thanks this. -
I've been a NASTC member for a couple years now. Very happy. Some people get scared off because of the 250 annual fee, but it pays for itself quickly. Just got 43 cents off the pump yesterday at TA. $60 savings right there.

I paid with my debit card at the flying J and was told diont get the cash discount. Any one this experience ?
