Well, this thread has been an education to me. Always happy to learn something. Even when it makes me look foolish.

Dave_in_AZ, Plantfoam, Just passing by and 1 other person Thank this. -
Ditto that, man. On the RARE occasion I haul 2582 or 2794 (which is seldom to none...) I'd need to have that info. Told the bossman; printed the regs for him... as well. Any day I don't learn a dang thing, is a day I lost a brain cell. And I don't partake in MJ~~! Thanks, guys.. we ALL learned a bit.. i'm stymied but glad as well, bro.Dave_in_AZ, Big Don, Plantfoam and 1 other person Thank this.

That is the first page of my very thick permit book.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
An update: I emailed the example of the license given earlier to the office, and the whole issue was escalated up to someone who knew what it was. They sent the form to me so I guess I'm all good now.
I'm glad I could raise some awareness, and my CSA points were not earned in vain lolDave_in_AZ, G13Tomcat and Big Don Thank this. -
I didn't have a clue about that one either when I first got my hazmat. There wasn't a word about it on the test OR in the book. I'm thankful I never got caught without it.Big Don, UsualSuspect and G13Tomcat Thank this.

THIS ^^^^ is my first enlightenment, as well. Thanks again, O/P.. not meaning that in ANY derogatory way; you've just enlightened many a man... hopefully NOT at your own expense.
Be safe~

I just took the HazMat Test, not asked, nor was it mentioned during the various sleep medications, I mean manual reading and stdying. They should at least mention this, they mention just about everything else at least once, if not twice.

Yup, he was right. Although I would not allow putting HM violations on a level 3 inspection.
According to 107.601(a)(6), among other things, HM registration is required for: "a quantity of hazardous material that requires placarding".
As previously posted, you, "must carry a copy of its current Certificate of Registration issued by PHMSA or another document bearing the registration number identified as the “U.S. DOT Hazmat Reg. No.” on board each truck."
You must have the authority letter itself or the number properly indicated on "a document".MACK E-6, Plantfoam, snowwy and 1 other person Thank this. -
The Nevada hazmat permit has the PHMSA# on it...Now that I know what it is. If just having the number on another document qualifies then it might of worked in a pinch...But I hopefully have everything I need now
G13Tomcat Thanks this.
