Must have been the same guy that was driving a charter bus yesterday in Kentucky. He pulled into the scale and got the arrow to go back to the platform… He ignored it and took the bypass lane.

So then, he gets to the end of the bypass lane and they are flashing the sign for him to park in the back with the arrow pointing towards the back... he ignored that as well and made his way back to the interstate.

I thought, here we go, they are going to chase him down but noooo... he gets away, scot-free.

I got pulled into a KY station 15mph thru the bypass... probably doing 25... Officer asked if I knew why I was green arrowed right to park. Told him I hit it a bit hard. He chuckled, reminded me of the potential consequence, gave a brief inspection of my records and turned me loose.

    1) don't speed - find a sign, stick to it.
    2) don't speak unless spoken to - all the microphones are two-way. They can hear all that complaining you're doing to yourself.

Meh.... good advice, but it varies. We've got rolling scales, stop scales, single axle / tandem scales, junk States that set up mobile scales (NY, MA, PA) and leave it as a surprise to the driver who is 85 feet away in the left-most lane during rush hour. It's a stupid game they play.

Another video that is way too long, but, right after thanksgiving, 1984, we were coming back from Scottsdale, and the scale master sent us to the pit for inspection. The inspector waved us on, and said "Merry Christmas!" 2 miles later, the throttle linkage fell of the pump, and we had to pull over and put it back together.

Look, those scales are for wimps.
Run on by, give them the finger and don't worry about it

Some d!ck at the Truckee scales one time ordered me to pull around back and come in. Then gives me a hard time because "you were going 7 mph in a 5" in the empty lane. Some people have nothing better to do...
