Pete are you sure you have a liner leaking? I don't know about your isx but every engine i have worked on had weep holes on the block so you could see if a liner was leaking. On my dettoit they are on the left side of the engine snd look like 3/8ths or 1/2 inch rubber plugs.

I don't think it's a liner. I think it's an injector sleeve. Although someone said they are the same thing loo

Ive just owned a lot of worn out junk and been to broke to pay someone to fix it so had to figure things out as they broke. Gotta keep in mind i bought my first truck less than a week after graduating high school. I forget how much it was either 500 or 1500 so it certainly wasn't in very good shape and being that young, about to start college in the fall so only able to work part time, i couldn't even begin to consider paying a shop to work on my truck.Highway Sailor, Big John Classic HQ and HalpinUout Thank this.

You mean injector cup o-ring?spyder7723 Thanks this.
-
No I'm getting trace amounts of coolant in my oil. Would a bad o ring do that? I had new o rings a year ago
-
Yes. The cups and orings are there to keep the fuel and coolant separated.
-
No, I don't believe so. If an injector cup o-ring fails it will push coolant into the fuel tanks, or fuel into the cooling system.
Air compressor can put coolant in the oil.Klleetrucking Thanks this. -
I'm betting its cups or orings. A pressure test is the best way to find out. But in order to figure out which you need to isolate the compressor from the rest of the system plug off those lines. First test the compressor and if it doesn't bleed down test the engine.
