The mood hasn't improved. I was on 2 productive preplans that would have carried me thru the weekend, but now I sit at the whse for Jim Beam waiting to be loaded. And now, because we didn't provide them with adequate trailers to preload, they are running behind and I won't make my piddly delivery on time tomorrow...so once again piss poor planning costs me miles...and money. The way things are going I won't make 2000 miles this week, so I guess last month was a fluke and I shouldn't expect to exceed 10k on a regular basis...just like Magnum...big talk, little miles.

I like your rants, SSB, but you have little patience. Breathe, man. Just breathe.
runningman0661 and Lonesome Thank this. -
I have just come to the realization that many were right, I will never be happy where I work...and the reason for that is also another realization that people were also right about all companies are pretty much the same no matter where you work. They put on the "we are better because" dog and pony show...but deep down...they really all the same.

All companies are the same...but some are ..MUCH WORSE..than others

I think it's time to take my final paycheck, go bankrupt, and leave trucking for good...the industry as a whole would be better off without my contribution

Nobody's saying that. You just need to accept that some things are not going to go your way. It seems like you're not willing to accept anything less than utopia. That's simply not realistic, regardless of which field your career is in.
Focus on enjoying what you do, rather than all the ways the office is trying to screw you over. I'm sure you have allies in the office who would help iron out some of your gripes.runningman0661, Lonesome, iraqralph43 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Like -I- said...-I- think it's time for me to get out of trucking...I didn't say others suggested it. I use to love this job...now I wake up in the truck and start my day miserable...I have had it with trucking in general...22 yrs of this has pretty much cost me any positive outlook on trucking as a whole.

Finished May with 12,038 miles, which would seem fairly low due to being in the shop the 12th, shutdown in Wyoming 18/19 (I-80 shutdown..Blizzard ) no freight out of Nevada on the 22nd and no freight going home on 30th.
