You are right. I did call and change plans a few days ago. Saved me about 19 bucks a month. And to be fair to Verizon I could pay off my phone and cancel the insurance and save another 37 bucks. They didn't make me choose such a spendy phone.. But that still leaves Verizon a good bit higher than Cricket or Straight Talk.

I haven't looked at cricket but, straight talk is more exspencive when you use your phone as a hotspot.

Verizon has always been the most expensive carrier.

Prices come down. PHFFTT. after we're all dead maybe.

Sprint isn't any cheaper than Verizon. How about at&t? Very similarly priced. The only way to get cheaper is to go with one of the 2nd tier networks. For a company driver that just needs to be able to talk to dispatch a couple times a day those 2nd tier options were fine. For those of us who are the dispatcher that doesn't work. If i don't have reliable data signals throughout the day it cost me money. Save 30 bucks a month on a cheap cell carrier and lose thousands in lost load opportunities.

My bill is $100 less now than it was a yr ago, $135 less than I was paying Sprint 5 yrs ago.

So um,. yeah,.. it less and if ATT, Sprint or T-Mobile would get off their keester and be more competitive,.. my bill would be even lower. Win Win.

    Agreed.

Being an O/O my phone service is my life line. I need it to be 100% every where I go. So far Verizon is the only option.

My Verizon is bullet proof. Two phones, they gave me the phones, one smart, one stupid, like 15 Gigs???? data, I never go over 4, unlimited text, unlimited everything. $144 month. I've talked / texted / e mailed everywhere, clear as a bell. Had T Mobile before that, was $100 more, and the service isn't even close.

If all I needed was service at home then I could be cheap and get a lower tier provider like Sprint. I loved Nextel and when Sprint took them over I was fine with that. It wasnt until I started going otr and discovered all the dead spots and lack of service that I through in the towel and signed up with Verizon.

If you think I like paying more you are mistaken. You dont run like I do. My business depends on the strength and network size that Verizon has. Else I would be with Sprint or Cricket or some other cheap basic mobile service.

So give Sprint a call.. Tell them they need to be more competative so we can all have lower bills.

I signed up for the Unlimited plan last month on the V website. Understand, before I could not tether or hotspot my phone because it was not signed up for that. I figured everything was OK because the tether hotspot was working but I got messages from V that I had exceeded my data limit. So I call in and talk to a tech who says he's gonna credit me back my data overages. Of course, he didn't. So I went back on the website and signed up yet again. We got it all straightened out now. But the guy kept saying 10 gigs at 4g and the blah blah 3 g etc, I'm like don't bait and switch me dude, do I have Unlimited or not.

Finally broke it down for me that I do have Unlimited. I said that's fine since my phone is a 2011 smartphone limited to 3g anyway lol I can't even get 4g on it.

The Unlimited has been working great. What I do is set up my youtube uploads and when it is time to drive, just let them continue uploading while driving if they didn't finish while off duty. LOVE that option now. Before I was trying to use PFJ plan to get my uploads done which was hit and miss and sometimes it was time to go to work with 92% uploaded and no time to wait to finish.
