Politicians don't come cheap & getting one to say they were wrong has got to be expensive. -
Since the old curfew took effect, I know Nashville didn't enforce it for loads without escort.
To abide by the old curfew, the several large crane companies around would either have to pay OT to have their cranes leave the yard super early or have to wait unit 9am to leave for a job. Coming back to the yard in the afternoon also was a problem. The crane companies just went on with business as usual and nobody said anything.
