Hi everyone,
My account is old but I'm somewhat new to being active on the forum so I'm still digging through the lengthy Mercer thread. Forgive me if this question has been asked there; if it has, I obviously haven't hit that point yet.
I wanted to connect with other Mercer O/Os to see if anyone is running multiple trucks with Mercer. We're looking for a driver for an empty truck/flat combo currently leased on with Mercer. Our last driver had to leave for personal reasons. Some questions I have:
1. Any suggestions on finding a driver to run with us and Mercer? We've been looking quite a bit but no luck yet.
2. If you are running multiple trucks, how involved are you with the secondary trucks that you own? Referring to the ones you're not driving yourself. Are those trucks proving to be profitable for you?
3. Suggestions on pay incentives? Driver retention?
Hoping to get some good feedback.

What region of the country are you looking for a driver to be from? What is the equipment ?
-
Equipment is a 2005 Freightliner Columbia with a Detroit motor paired with a 48' flatbed. The truck is well-maintained and ready to roll. All tarps, chains, straps, etc were purchased from Mercer in November 2015. -
Guess people aren't running more than one truck...
-
You could try calling CR and have them put you on touch with other fleet owners. Most, if not all of us, here are single truck folks
-
@Boattlebot ..... hmmmmm.... (?)
Boattlebot Thanks this. -
I'm not surprised that most people on here are single-truck guys since Mercer is perfect for O/Os. I know there are some fleet owners out there - guess they're not hanging out on here though.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
You tell CR to give them your info and to ask them to please contact you.
