Hey guys I got a kenworth t660 with that push in coolant sensor. It's new, the plug is new and the float in the coolant tank works. But I keep getting a ding ding ding warning light and I'm fed up with this. Is there a way to bypass the wires by jumping it someway. Can't use a paper clip or tie the wires together. I did see someome say I need a 5v to a 1v resistor jumper when i Google searched. anyone know where I can get one or how to make one myself. Thanks

Add fluids. Until sensor is happy again. PResto no more warnings.

How hard is it to find enough fluids to make your truck happy again?

Coolant level is full. Matter of fact I over filled it just to be sure. It's been doing this on and off for 2 months and I'm done with. I appreciate your reply but im not a swift driver lmao!

you can just go to dealer and have them take out the engine protection for coolant sensor, or you can find where the wires are broke a tug test goes a long way, if you have cummins those #### wires are notorious for rusting out inside once you pull them a little bit they will give out right away.

Be on the lookout for bad grounds, especially if it does it on a regular cycle. Electrolysis can cause false low coolant alarms.

Same problem, low-level warning, stop engine alarm, etc. Coolant level full, temps great. Took to local mechanic and he charged me $700 to replace(?). He told me the sensor was $300, the broke it off in me for another $300+ for labor?? Does this sound right? I'm seeing the entire tank (with sensor) online for $200.

Sounds like he got ya for $$$. The coolant sensor is around $150.00 @ kenworth. And I got a new coolant tank for $300. I replaced myself and it worked and stopped the issue. The coolant tank comes with a new sensor already installed. These new tanks have some kind of float built inside and they break after a few years
