You can have 0/month truck payment and still have a 5 years warranty.

If you're a solo guy it's better off to own. Leasing only works if you're going to train or team. You *might make a lil more than a company driver sometimes being solo but not worth the headaches
If you're a fleet go ahead and lease if the numbers make sense -
How is that

Once that warranty expires, expensive things start going wrong on a lot of cars. My wife and I have been fortunate with our 2012 Kia Rio 5, good little solid thing that hasn't been a hassle at all, but I'm not sure I would buy another car. Depreciation sucks, and I don't think I'd like to play the warranty lottery again. I'm already paranoid as is.
Building equity in a house is great. There is appreciation there. But I'd rather have a brand new car every 3-5 years and full manufacturer warranty than deal with all the headaches of buying.
As for the OP and a truck, you aren't buying a truck, you are starting a business. It's entirely different from buying/leasing a car. Your first truck should reflect what capital you have to invest. I think another poster here said it best, if you can't buy it, you can't afford it. General advice is save up $30,000-40,000, buy a used truck outright and have just as much as you spend on the truck saved up in cash for repairs... because things will go wrong and you won't have the money to pay the bills AND fix the truck. -
Personally I would never lease a truck after reading the nightmare stories on this site for over 2 years that I've been here. Before I read truckers report and actually worked in the industry I watched loshawn parks and other YouTube truckers make it look like the greatest thing ever.
