The fan might work, or it might not. The refer is not designed to create a positive pressure, only to recirculate the air in the trailer. I don't know how much air flow you can get through the drain holes.

This reminds me of that Simpsons episode where Bart and Homer are camping in a tent hooked to the refrigerator during a heat wave, until it burns out.

If it worked or was even remotely able to be made to get close to working , don't you think every reefer company on earth would be doing it?

    Intothesunset Thanks this.

I'd get my AC fixed. You ever smelled a reefer? While not always unpleasant, it's not an odor you want in your cab.

Again I ask, why the hell not get his AC fixed?

Intothesunset, magoo68 and buddyd157 Thank this.

It's a pretty good idea. The reefer engine has to run anyway. I hate idling just to run the A/C. The engine just creates more heat and it wastes money. That Freightliner Smart Park with the key off A/C is freakin sweet.

    Intothesunset Thanks this.

I drove a 78 4070B that was set up to hook the refrigerant lines from the tractor to the reefer unit so the reefer would run truck ac. Unfortunately the reefer I pulled wasn't set up to work with it and boss wasn't interested in hooking it up. So no ac for me since truck had no compressor of it's own.
