Rooster was happy... now not so much...a/c nice and cool, dispatch to pick up in Rogers, deliver in Laredo, over 800 miles... leave the yard and dpf failure before I get to Arkansas.
Truck refused to do a parked regen... back to Jopmo, load unassigned...
If the shop can fix it by tomorrow, I might be able to salvage the week and month...

It stopped raining the minute I got into line for a truck wash... how's that for respect...
paul_4lp Thanks this. -
Sounds like it's time to trade in that truck.
paul_4lp and RoadRooster Thank this. -
If I could have passed a D.O.T. physical, I would have liked to have gone to a truck driving school to learn how to drive a truck. I would have liked to have been able to drive OTR to all 48 states and Canada.
I am working at trying to pass a D.O.T. physical. Only time will tell on this.
CFI would have been one of my choices to apply for an OTR job.
CFI goes to all 48 states & Canada and is dry freight. I do realize that a hazmat endorsement is required. From what I understand, the miles are quite decent.
I do realize that the deadlines and time requirements can be and often are quite strict.
I have never married and never had any children. I live in an apartment which would allow me to be away for extended periods of time.
SADLY & UNFORTUNATELY, both of my parents passed away long ago. I no longer have the parental eldercare responsibilities that my 2 sisters and I once had.
As for work history, I have been at my current job for 10 years, (since 2007).
As for my MVR, I have not had any moving violations or speeding tickets in 10 years, (since 2007).
NOTE:
Between 1974 to 2007, I had several speeding tickets, several running red lights, 1 failure to yield right of way, and 1 passing a school bus with red flashers on. FORTUNATELY & THANKFULLY, no children were hit or injured.
I had 1 no fault accident back in 2014. I did NOT report it to the police, but it is on insurance company records.
I had 1 no fault accident back in 2010. It was reported to the police, along with being on insurance company records.
I had 1 at fault accident back in 1995. I was speeding and went through a red light, hitting someone. FORTUNATELY & THANKFULLY, that individual did recover.
I have never smoked and never used or tried drugs. It has been years since I have used any over the counter, (OTC), remedies. This way, there is little to no chance of any false positives random when drug testing comes around.
I don't even eat poppy seeded bagels. I am not sure if there is any truth to this, but I have been told that the poppy seeds can trigger a false positive on a random drug test.
What little drinking that I did, I gave up many years ago. Truth be told, I have no tolerance for alcohol at all. One can of beer make me legally drunk. Just to be on the safe side, I no longer touch the stuff.
FORTUNATELY & THANKFULLY, I have never been arrested or convicted of any crimes at all.
If I were able to ever drive for CFI, I would POSSIBLY go as far as to move to Joplin Missouri, renting an apartment or room, near the main terminal, to be close by for home time.
I currently live in Wichita KS, which I understand is still in CFI's hiring area.

Thank you for your post, I'm not sure there is a question in there. I recommend contacting recruiting to ask about your driving record I don't know the answers. Also don't quite understand why you're working on getting a DOT physical seems like it oughta be pretty cut-and-dry.
Also you shouldn't have to relocate in order to get home time, I live in Florida and don't have any problems.
BEST OF LUCK TO YOUpaul_4lp and born&raisedintheusa Thank this. -
