Good. No longer a need to stop at that cluster fark in Boron.
-
It's a little cooler up on top of the hill usually plus better for owner ops to run up hill with less fuel then fuel up top and coast on down to the valley.
In other news I saw the southbound 58 scale open for the first time yesterday. I wonder if it is related to the PFJ grand opening; do they think truck traffic will increase on 58? -
I've seen that scale open from time to time.
-
They have several unusual scales open today, may be cause the super coup at Dunsmuir is closed for the weekend.
I have found the second J that will be burnt to the ground the day I win the powerball.
Lodi.gokiddogo Thanks this. -
Why is dunsmuir closed? SB cottonwood was open today
-
Doing some kind construction to the lot. Bet that's why CW was open.
-
Dunsmuir I don't mind. They'll actually close when there's too many trucks are the weather is bad. Cottonwood NB on the other hand have no souls. They are ruthless
REO6205 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
They have a plethora of truck stops on 58 now compared to the JBHunt giant paper roll days.

It was closed when I went through a few hours ago. Also let 3 trucks in front of me at that Boron clusterfark known as the Pilot. The last guy waved and seemed very grateful. They must have been waiting to get out for some time. The light for the 395 JCT is way too short and causes hwy 58 traffic to back up. 395 isn't as busy as 58...so Cali needs to retime the lights, IMO. One time I went through there, it took atleast 15 minutes because traffic was so backed up. It was backed up all the way to where 58 necks down from 2 lanes to 1. Long line! Of course, the 4wheelers don't cut ya any slack either. They need to build a bypass bridge or something...Last edited: Jul 29, 2017
Dave_in_AZ and scottied67 Thank this.
