37,500 on a '16 T680 244" WB, MX-13, 220 gal fuel cap, APU, chains, 53' Great Dane SS with side skirts & Carrier X2 2500.
-
40,280lbs
4900EX Western Star 270" WB 300gal fuel, 42gal DEF, Magnum moose tenderizer and APU
Coolglobe Vanguard trailer independent sliding axles, skirts, 50gal tank, Carrier 7300
That is without winter gear and one set of chains. -
BC has done away with their wheelbase permits in February this year.
-
Yeah; it'd be nice if the rest of the provinces got on board. It's just another reason for them to haul me in, extra wheelbase and check for total length and also reducing trailer wheelbase ... just a bunch more crap for us to abide by...
I know how to keep it all legal, I just rather not talk to those crooks if I can help it.. -
You guys talking 48' or 53' trailer ....?
-
If 48' you can have any wheelbase tractor; maximum unit length must not exceed 23 metres
If 53' maximum trailer kingpin to center of axle group maximum 12.5m (41') - as tractor wheelbase increases (max 7.2m or 283") trailer wheelbase shortens by same amount
Trailer overhang as measured from center of axles to rear of trailer must not exceed 35% of trailer wheelbase, also must not exceed 23m total
Manitoba sask and Alberta all still require a special permit to be bought to run more than 6.2m(244) tractor with 53'
I don't run eastern Canada, do not know the rules there.
Spread axles are recognized as 1 single axle for a total weight allowance of 9100 kg (20,000 lb) *in Manitoba and west - in Ontario they are good for 9100 kg each if 10'1" - eastern Canada again unsure
I wish they'd just all get on the same page

Another reason reefer sucks,always heavy.
Last week I had some 5-12k loads, usually have them regularly.
You guys need to get some sense, and move over to dry van. -
You can keep your 10k pound dry van loads that might typically never exceed 700 miles. I like my mostly heavy reefer loads where 700 miles is a shag load. If you're properly powered and not paying fuel, who gives a crap?
motocross25 Thanks this. -
That's ok
Stexan you can have the long ones I'll just stick to my heavy short haul reefer loadsalds Thanks this.
