All trucks are 67-68mph + roll never to exceed or hit 75mph!
Slick Tiff and Octrucker Thank this. -
So anybody can nail down the pay for drivers that throw freight? I was told multiple numbers in my interviews. Anywhere from $50K to $75K. So I'm kinda torn considering I'm making $65K now I don't wanna go backwards.
And then realistically sounds like you're pretty much home on th weekends for your 34 only? -
You guess dot isn’t too bad if you don’t mind a tiny Volvo
Paul Bunyan Thanks this. -
There are a lot of variables that determine yearly gross. I would say $ 65K - 80K a year for delivery drivers. DC location might be a factor in earnings. Pretty much a 34-44 hour reset for your weekend off.59EX Thanks this.

Hey guys I (think) all but about have a job with DOT as a delivery driver but I would like to ask a few questions. I will ask these in couple of weeks when I got back to get my physical but I was hoping to know sooner than that.
Do they have Pre pass?
Do they use comdata card pay for supplies and scales?
Do they have a fuel plan/solution or can you fuel where you want/need?
How many stops per day do you usually do? Out of a 14 hour day how is the split between throwing freight and driving?
How are their maintenance shop?
Feel free to PM me if needed.
TIA.Last edited: Nov 11, 2017

Following. I have two days left at Sage Trucking school and did my first interview with DOT last week. It went real well and I am hoping I get on with them.

You won’t regret going with DOT. I’m a new driver and the training was excellent, a little long at 10 weeks but I know exactly what I’m doing out there because of it. DOT really does have a family atmosphere and most of the drivers have been there for years and years. They have 3 different schedules, 4 on 4 off, 6 on 3 off or full time, which is usually 6 days on and then a 34 hour reset. Great company so far.Slick Tiff Thanks this.
