What once was on the avoid list I've dabbled in a tad, if I spoke of what is back on the avoid list and those topics I've not touched on I would find myself speaking of subjects I avoid. therefore, I'm avoiding the avoid topics.

"The I smoked weed until I quit 18 months ago, then I smoked more 2 weeks ago and failed the drug test. It's not my fault."

That one poster caused me to consider that subject a closed one to me. I will simply repeat myself over and over again to these addicts who I consider a liability in trucking.

A couple of other subjects are also closed, not too many. I rely on the ignore list to keep things under control. Most everyone here are very good and I listen to what they have to say. But once in a while you cannot help but add a idiot to the list now and then.

Even some of my favorite subjects related to husband wife teaming newbies. I get weary of repeating myself so I take a break from that. ANY one curious enough to search TTR will find many more similar posts on that topic from me. Mountain driving is another I enjoy. But some people seem to be too dense to understand the necessary information required to do this right.

Finally I just give subjects a pass when something or someone says something really bad and everyone else wants to dogpile that person. There is no point. Reasoning with people who have gone over the top emotionally is a lost effort.

What's left? Not too much. I do keep up on it, who knows something good like this thread will come up now and then.

I don't avoid any of them, just don't have time for all of them. I am an equal opportunity abuser

It's not my fault (drug testing, repeated accidents, arrests, etc.)

I don't want the real numbers... just blow sunshine up my skirt.

Politics/Religion (Daddy taught me it wasn't for polite company)

How NOT to drive (left lane, fuel island, right turns...bleh)

HA! Good one, I agree with most, the drug stuff gets mighty old. When people (still) ask that question, it automatically tells me they are clearly living under a rock. I try and stay away from stuff I know nothing about, and I'd like to not look at the truck crashes, but it's like trying not to look at a welder. The politics, religion, hate stuff, gets filtered pretty quick by the sharp staff, and with today's craziness, I have no idea where to tell people who to drive for, so I skip those too.
