I understand completely, you have to find a fit .
That's why I like to see the average of the entire fleet. Of course you have some above and some below, but it can give a guy a good baseline to compare himself to.
Some guys who run strictly east west coast may have a lower per mile AVG, but be happy what he is doing.
Same as others who don't run enough loads or miles to qualify for safety awards or full tag bonus. I thought my bonus was 950 but I actually maxed out at 1000 dollar tag bonus.
I run the 37 state fleet and run all over that area, I run the northeast regularly. As I do a couple other areas most don't.
I get the money going in and take the best available coming out. Same as I do anywhere else .
Some areas you take the best available rate and ride,. Sitting there 3 days accomplishes little.

What is high dollar freight to you? And realistically you can't believe we are all averaging $5 a mile? I can tell you some average lower than others but there are a lots of reasons.CJndaTruck Thanks this.

Maybe I overstated it by saying "high dollar". And no if the average here was $5 a mile the waiting list to get on would be years long. I think it was posted a couple days ago on another thread that the current average here is 1.67 right now.

Yeah, that was probably me, I was in a hurry. Left out of youngstown, put my foot on the floor and headed to Alabama
I run my steers at 115-120, but I have H range steers, they're supposed to be at 120. -
That is 120 minimum. I run mine at 128 psi. I run my drives & trailer at 115. I'm getting really good wear out of my Goodyear steers that I said I would never buy again because the first set didn't last long.thaistick Thanks this.

Need to run the tires at 5-10% more air than what the sidewall says. The number on the sidewall is the minimum air pressure.thaistick and HalpinUout Thank this.

Hmm should I get truck and trailer done at the same time? It's about $500 for both

Any of you guys ever treat the wood on your flat? I read on another thread various methods drivers have used... I was going to Home Depot today was thinking about getting Thompson Sealer-protection... I would think 1/2 gallon would be enough, I plan on rolling it on.... Any thoughts? I have a 2017 combo...

I didn't know that... I put 105 and 110... Guessing I gotta add more air...RStewart Thanks this.
