Yeah I can't sleep while getting unloaded, too afraid to miss the phone call to grab paperwork. I have thought about benadryl or that night time cold/flu medicine.
Melatonin doesn't work for me. I tried it when I was struggling sleeping doing teams. -
Here's the number one tip for getting sleep when you are flipping schedules:
Stop stressing about not getting sleep.
Sleep comes in 90 minute cycles. If you can get good solid sleep for 90 minutes or three hours or four and a half hours, you should be good.
WHEN YOU GET SLEEPY TURN OUT THE LIGHTS AND GO TO SLEEP. If you miss that opportunity to sleep you will have to wait another 90 minutes to catch the next biorythm sleep "wave". Don't screw around with this. Sleep when you can, where you can. -
I hate when I miss the bus and have to wait for the next one. For me it's usually longer than 90 minutes though.
I freaking hate it! nothing worse than just about to dose off and bam something disturbs ya and the bus rolls on by.
Lmao.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Feels like I'm in a post-trip haze all the following day. Can't stand the stuff.

Yeah, that side effect does happen to quite a few people. I should leave your system in 10 hours I believe is the half-life of the drug.
