Unloaded this morning without incident, called in saying I was empty soon as dispatch got in the office. "Ok I'll start finding you something." Start?! 3 hours later got a pre plan to pick up about 3 hours away in Nogadoches TX. Luckily for me it loads tomorrow morning, 8 am at the EARLIEST. Yay, more sitting. And it goes to our yard in Omaha. Which I can't make in one shot. And I'm sure once I get there Saturday anything they have isn't going to be ready til Saturday night if I'm lucky.

Par for the course, doesn't seem to be working out like anticipated with GOE. Any regrets leaving Estes? Been following you for a bit, I enjoy your posts btw.The Kraut and motocross25 Thank this.

Understatement of the century. Haha but thanks man. I don't regret leaving Estes in St. Louis. I'll say that. If changes in management weren't made I would have retired there. I was the 12 person to quit when I did and I hear like 7 more have since I left. And 4 have gotten fired. How corporate doesn't see that a major terminal just lost 23 drivers in 6 months I'll never know. As far as pay, work schedule, and consistency of knowing what you're doing at Estes tho, yes I do. Absolutely I do. You'd be in trouble for everything, they'd hold your job over your head and make up rules as they went along. BUT you knew you were going home everyday, and the only time I ever sat was when I teamed with them & Salt Lake wouldn't let us leave because of the weather. And that was like a night. And they put us in a hotel. This is just ridiculous. Absolute lack of planning. I've never driven for a company that didn't know what you were doing on the other end of a delivery. Especially when it takes 2 days to get there. And then tell you every weekend "we'll get you routed back to St. Louis." Only to be brought up to the yard and sit in Omaha all day.carramrod32 and The Kraut Thank this.

Picked up on Tuesday at about noon near L.A. for Denver, delivery appointment Thursday night. Was at the receiver yesterday, but they were not sure if they can get me in during the night. Left and stayed at the truck stop.
Called this afternoon and asked what they have lined up for me for Friday morning, was told I get a load back to North Platte, when I asked for the pick up appointment I was told 4 PM. Are they kidding me?
Asked for a layover and got lots of excuses, we can't pay blabla...
Told him I want to talk to Brent our CEO but he was on the phone and he would call back, I'm still waiting for this call...
A few minutes later I got a call from dispatch I should head to Lincoln NE for a pick up in the morning at 10 AM.
What do they think, I'm sitting all day and deliver in the night and then run 490 miles during the night?
Told them this does not work, I'll need some sleep and wouldn't be in Lincoln before 4 PM.
Head this direction anyway, two seconds later, no, stay in Denver and call me in the morning.
The last three weeks were really bad and I'm really mad with this planning
motocross25 Thanks this. -
Am in my yard in Omaha. After 25 straight days of running, needed a break. Really didn't want it here but, it is what it is. Heading out tonight for Providence. Oh boy.

Ok. I thought it was just me. I'm sorry for your frustration and I can definitely relate, I just thought I'd been the only one getting hosed lately. I don't get it. I delivered in Tulsa the other week and it was a 3 phone call ordeal if I could take the turnpike. My delivery was literally right off the turnpike. Unless we can rent a helicopter and air drop it onto them, I don't see another option. When I got in my mailbox once I got back to Omaha this week from my last week off I didn't get layover pay I was owed on my check for sitting at our yard for 20 hours last Saturday. At this point it's not even worth bringing up I feel. Oh well. It almost seems as if Greater Omaha is tightening the noose on the transportation side because they are getting real stingey lately. and "forgetting" stuff. The Kraut Thanks this.

Oh boy is right. Well at least you have something to do. Don't take that for granted. You know I don't even think I know who you drive for. Care to indulge me?The Kraut and Shock Therapy Thank this.

Called in on Friday morning and had Brent on the phone. Told him what's going on. I was mad, don't wanna go into details

After the call it took a few minutes and I was told head back to Omaha (empty).
On the way in the afternoon I got a load from the plant to L.A.,four drops on Monday.
When I was on the yard I called the shipping and they told me it will take a few hrs.
So I left early this morning, fortunately the trailer was loaded
730 miles today, sitting near Rock Springs WY.motocross25, carramrod32 and Shock Therapy Thank this. -
