Mine has been in its current position for about a month and that was the first time that happened.

Sometimes the Government - local or Federal will block out GPS signals.

    Kamkor and MachoCyclone Thank this.

That wouldn't surprise me with Fort Bliss being right there. I was stationed there for 4.5 years. They have everything there. Aviation, Air Defense Missiles, Tanks, etc.

Understandable, but why would they knock out GPS outside Kingman Arizona and it being sporadic from there all the way to Flagstaff....

Didn't you recently move your GPS to where cb wiring goes? Maybe that is interfering? Is this happening no matter where it's mounted?

I have seen many factors affecting this.

    FM transmitters
    Tire Monitoring systems
    Collision Avoidance systems
    Dash Cams
    CB's
    Other GPS's

If you can, if it quits and it is an RM contact me on what model you have.

The antenna's on the TND's are on the top of the units.

Try moving it to another location and see what happens.

Yeah it's mounted there but there hadn't been any interference for a while. It was working just fine. This is a relatively new development. Like right now it sees every satellite except for the ones out of orbit right now with signals averaging about 75%. Then out of nowhere it'll drop all of them to zero and it will not be able to lock onto any satellite. Sometimes a reboot fixes it. A lot of times it makes no difference.

I wonder if manufacturers are ever going to add glonass. More satellites to sample from at least my phone has glonass and I pick up a ton.

    MachoCyclone Thanks this.

    It's a Garmin 770...

I'd honestly go back to Rand McNally if they had the ability to modify routes with just a press of the finger instead of adding a via...

It's not a Rand product you still want the conversation?
