Bump for discussion. Interested on reading more about CTL

 

No, I left CTL after a couple months. I was OTR, nearly worked me to death. Only got one 10 hour break at home until I quit. Ridiculous. The miles are there, but the pay was not. I'd get my deposit, it wouldn't be nearly enough. I'm doing the math and instead of .45 Cpm it's coming out to .32 cpm. Call em up, and it's "Oh, well you were doing local runs, so we had to give you local pay."
Uh, I'm OTR. That's what I was told, and that's what I did. New Orleans to Minneapolis, Arkansas to Charlotte NC, Baton Rouge to Trenton NJ ain't local, I don't care who you are. After another check like that, along with zero hometime and I was out. But a few of the guys I went to orientation with are still there, doing local stuff, and they like it. Mobile and Baton Rouge are their big local terminals, and many of the guys I spoke to at those had been there quite a while.
But I said before and I'll say again, IMO they provide very nice trucks to new drivers, I was happy with my Mack.
