Any thoughts on how flatbed demand will be affected by the hurricane damage and the need for building materials? Will we finally start getting paid our worth?

If all else, you can leave the wife for a increase in savings.

Jokes aside I think with elog mandate, rebuilding TX with FL and upcoming holiday season, it's gonna be a really tight truck capacity. This week has been my best netting week yet and I hope to stay on this level till the end of the year

I'm running the regular stuff now, and staying well out of the S/SE for now.

I'm guessing when damage is cleared, adjusters have assessed etc, then product will need moved down there - but it'll take a few weeks at least.

  9. the dhs-fema have contracts set up on relief shipment needs.

these being food, fuel, building materials.

they are being exempt from DOT regulations, while performing relief assistance. Not saying ppl will be able to run crazy hours. its designed for mass convoys of fuel and supplies to the hardest locations on a need basis.

We're getting a lot of architectural steel loads to Houston already... there's three of us heading down to Spring Texas for Monday.

I'm sure Florida will be no different.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

I think the demand has already started, i drove by Lakehurst AFB and noticed double lanes of trucks entering the base, backed up over a mile, i never seen that even during Sandy.
I did some work during Sandy with my lowboy and was given a written waiver and a phone number if needed, i also know of a crusher/screen that was moved from Michigan to New Jersey that had a waiver.
