Thanks for taking time to read my post . I just recently had a del to a facility that told me that my trailer will need to be dropped . ( The broker didn't tell me that it would be a dropped trailer ) So after aurguring back , and forth with broker I agreed to , and to receive layover pay . Soooooo after 7 days with no response from the shipper , or broker I finally came back to retrieve my trailer . ( Just let me add that I have been calling , and no answer ) I finally got a response from the broker , and they told me that I may have to call the police , and tell them that the shipper is with holding my property . So when I get to the shipper to ask for my trailer they say that it was unloaded this last past Sunday , and reloaded today ( without my consent ) They had sent my trailer to their warehouse across town to be used as a transfer trailer , without my consent . To make a long story short . They told me that I will have to wait another 7 days to get my trailer , even though I didn't authorize it . I'm just at a lost for words right now , and I don't know what to do . Please any input would be great .

    TallJoe Thanks this.

You should be charging them per day for trailer usage

I know but , they will only pay 150 $ per day . I tried to make them take off their product , and they wouldn't . Mind you I didn't even know that they had reloaded my trailer .

I think that's called theft. I'd get a lawyer. I know, easier said than done. Maybe you could 'just ' use one of their other trailers.

I'm really thinking about just leaving , with the load . Call a lawyer in the am . Just like you said they took my property without my permission . It may not be right for me to leave , but they are going to have to compensate me for my time. I don't want their load , I just want my money.

Can't you call the police and report the trailer stolen and you know where the trailer is, but the thief won't let you have it.? Can probably sue for lost income also. You need a lawyer.

I think the cops like to play stupid when it comes to commercial theft. It's like if they can't shoot, taze or bust you upside the noggin, they're not interested.
