With the amount of money some of them charge. One would think that there would be things like that in place.

I've heard countless stories of mistreatment Inn nursing homes. There is no way I would put a relative in one.

Dad and I talked about a nursing home and if by chance I couldn't care for him we was going to have in home medical care. The nursing home was the best here so I thought but she didn't take dads blood sugar and it reached over 600 and from then on dad got sicker and passed a few weeks later.

Everyone wants their kid to grow up to be a doctor or lawyer. Nobody wants their kid to become a diesel mechanic/electrician,,,

    Until they need one.

That's not entirely unreasonable. Backup generators only put out a finite amount of power, and running a building is a lot more draw than an 18 wheeler's electrical and a/c. They probably prioritized lights, computers and monitoring devices heart monitors, alarms, and the machine that goes *ping*) probably not much power left over for an entire centralized HVAC system. Probably would take two CAT 15s just for circulating coolant and powering the fans.

It takes about 16,000 watts to run a household Central Heat and A/C unit. I cannot imagine how many watts would be needed to run a large building's A/C unit like a nursing home. Still, they should have had the appropriate amount of generators to do the job.
