you got that right man, I can tell you been around. It took a long time to figure out how to balance the two wives. When I see the threads on how the rookies are asking questions about being local Vs over the road because of the wife I just laugh and think to myself they will figure it out
G13Tomcat Thanks this. -

Nice truck and nice family!

Sitting in Evanston WY, much later as planned.
Delivered my load yesterday morning in North Platte NE and the other driver who brought my trailer for Cali arrived 10 minutes after I was empty.
But... Trailer was too heavy, he scaled with a quarter fuel tank and the axles were not on the 40 ft mark, he moved them 3 ft back to be legal. I had fueled the day before and was 1300 lbs over gross.
Trailer on the 40 ft mark was nearly 2500 lbs over. No chance to go to Cali with this trailer.
Talked to dispatch and off we went back to Omaha to rework the load.
They had to rework two times till I was legal. So I left late afternoon and will deliver Tuesday morning.
550 miles more for me
P.S. Had my first snow over the hills before Evanston, road was still good, a few slick spots.
It's cold here, had to swap my shorts for Jeans
motocross25, carramrod32, Shock Therapy and 1 other person Thank this.
