Well @G13Tomcat is my spokesperson sometimes ... but since its my thread I'll give permission to @Sleepy3103 to share his experience here as well if he choses to do so. If he feels he wants his own thread by all means go for it.

 

I am here in Columbus for the night. @Sleepy3103 were out there with the group of guys by the gray van at La Quinta earlier this afternoon ( Wednesday )? If so, I was the one driving the white van that pulled up.

Anyway here is my update:

So I got that load I had to babysit off ... headed out of to Golden State Foods in Conyers, GA to get loaded and head to Dickson, TN. Appointment time was set for 1100 on Sunday .... well the shipping department is closed on Saturday and Sunday. Yes that is right ... customer service and the load planners screwed up again. So I waste 8 hours sitting there. I did not know they werw closed until a guy in receiving comes by and asks what I have for them. He tells whats up and I message dispatch .... they acted like it was my fault ... uh no. Anyway I was pissed, I left out there and went to a truck stop and hung out and went back at about 0430. Got loaded around noon and boogied on out of there.

Got to Dickson and unloaded at Martin Brower and sent in my empty call but didn't get anything back. Normally i get a load assignment or some sort of message .... crickets. Turns out the qualcomm system was down for maintenance ... if I had gotten the compamy wide message I would have known that ... thats a different story for a different time. Anyway I tried calling night dispatch and get cut off after 20 mimutes on hold, this happened 4 times. So I give up and go to bed. Woke up to a load assignment for pick up at Tyson in Union City, Tennessee going to Fairfield, Ohio ... OK ... I am supposed to be headed South. Tyson takes FOREVER to get me loaded but I made it on time to Martin Brower in Fairfield this morning, they took thier time getting me into a door but unloading was quick. Next load had me coming to Columbus and heading to Apopka, FL then home. Picked up from Tarrier Foods, which right around the corner from our Columbus Terminal. Heading out in the AM, got my tripped all planned out and will make it early for 1030 appointment on Friday .... if traffic will cooperate.

Will be back on the road next week.
