Genes and/or age has a lot to do with this topic, too. Some with the same build will have to do twice as much work and sacrifice to remain as "fit" as another person, everything else being equal.

Thx for that Albert,
that looks an awful lot like my routine, and I have cut as much out lately as I could, down to 275 from 300, the rest is going to be a struggle, If I could get to 230 I would be ecstatic, I am also 6'2' or at least I used to be, might be shrinking a bit, hahaalbert l Thanks this. -
That app and a better understanding of what to eat is helping me greatly.
Just cutting back on breads and potatoes is helping me a lot.KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this. -
Stop soft drinks all together!
Water. Get you a couple of lemons or limes to cut up and squeeze in it for some flavor. And cut back on the coffees with all the sugar and cream.
Eat fruit when your starting to get hungry and cut out breads and starches.
I love bread, that was the hardest part for me to do.Fold_Moiler, TallJoe and KANSAS TRANSIT Thank this. -
Boost metabolism by working out. Only takes a few minutes before your shower. 4 sets of 25 squats on one day. Next day do 8 sets of 12 and 13 pushups. Next day walk a couple miles. Next day rest. Next day 25 pound weight curls and shoulder lifts, 8 sets of 12 and 13 again or less depending on stamina and endurance. Do not over do your heart, build up your strength over time and increase reps over time from 100 total reps to 200 total reps and after about a year get up to 300 total reps your body will burn that fat right off. An added benefit is your heart and lungs will renew and your DOT physical will be a breeze. Renewed energy to raise those children and be around when they are having kids of their own.

It is all about eating...It is hard not to eat crap staff. It is hard not to take more than one trip at Iron Skillet. A truck driver does not need more than 1500 calories a day. That's just one breakfast buffet meal at Iron Skillet. It does take some good will. Walking a lot to start with. Running only at later stages, it might be too hard on the joints, might do more harm than good. I used to carry a road bike with me in the sleeper, but stopped at some point and acquired some fat too, which I need to shed and better soon, so I might take it with me again.

You two don't count.
Why?
Because, whether you want to admit it or not, you don't have it in you to "get fat".
You are the type that can do anything you want, and it won't matter.
160 and 140? That's 'Junior High & High School' weight.KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this. -

I pulled into a Pilot and there was a guy doing inclined push ups off a step deck, I can respect the effort, but sometimes it just looks funny as hell.
