Remember you can add another axel and the trailer will still only be GVW rated for what is on the MFG tag. If you got over 80.000 on the trailer and someone starts digging your going to get some paper hung on you.
Them Texas troopers got it down..
The only way to get the higher weight rating MFG tag is if its made at the factory with the third axel.

Im not trying to add lift axle so I can haul more weight, its to lift it when Im deadheading or backing up in tight spots and don't want to put stress on spread axle.

Couple friends bought the kits and had them welded up in my buddies shop, they had about $650 to $700 in them with valves and line which was extra. Taking it to a shop and paying them to do it, is going to cost a lot more needless to say.

They also sell a bolt on kit for those that don't know how to weld. It's like 50 bucks more than the weld on kit but includes the bolts.

Do you have a Hendrickson suspension? If so just go to their website. They call them underbody lift. If you call the 800 number on the website and give them your axles serial number they will give you a part number. That's how i got mine. They shipped it right to my house.

Yep. It's rather simple. If you are competent at welding, get the weld on kit. If not get the bolt on kit.

Is there anything that you need to do with the abs on the axle that is lifted? Won't the abs light come on and stay on?
