I was going to ask if they can swap out 22.5s from another trailer they have, for that price they're asking for it anyways.

In many places, you can't overhang a 53' trailer without permits...same permits you'd need to haul that same 59' load on a 48' trailer. In most cases, your axle spacing on a 53' trailer are going to be the same as a 48' trailer, so you really aren't gaining anything except 5 extra feet of trailer behind the axles where you don't really need it, unless you simply need the support of the trailer beneath the overhang. One other thing to remember about the 53' trailer is that they aren't legal everywhere. Set the axles up so that the KPRA is legal for Cali, and you've got too much tail swing for Michigan. Once you get beyond 48', that KPRA measurement comes into play, so unless the extra 5' of deck space is going to generate a considerable amount of extra revenue, it simply isn't worth the hassle. Besides, I have enough trouble getting shippers to load a 48' spread properly. Give them 5' more deck space at the rear, and it would be all the more trouble keeping my loads forward enough to have my weights decently balanced.

Check for cracks around the suspension mounts very thoroughly. I had a friend that had an 06 that had some problems there. He did not buy another Manac when he bought his 2 new 53’s this year.

    I don't like Manac's, and I'm a Canadian. I've never found they pull nice.

I went to check it out today. Rubrails are real straight, deck is patch free except a small 1"x3" patch. Tires should last through winter but look pretty worn, brakes are 50%. Dealer told me it had connestoga on it. Said trailer is on consignment and wouldn't let me have sellers info name/phone number so I could talk to him.

Please let me know if you would be interested in a 2007 Manac with a 6 month old quickdraw system. I am going local doing containers. No more tarping.
