If you don't start wandering around trucks stops by 8pm your S.O.L.
This will just get worse , once we're all on the magic box .
What will your driving hours for a normal day be .
11 ,10, 9 hours , or sometimes 37 miles ,
This is going to be great , we will all be rich !

OK its not your dispatchers fault but its not elogs either. You've been in this industry long enough to know things happen beyond your control. You sit at the cust waiting to get loaded/unloaded you have the traffic to deal with.I use to deliver to Dallas and Houston once a week so I know the traffic is bad.If anything customers should get you right away otherwise pay detention then you would see elogs aren't that bad.

Falsifying is falsifying...it would be like saying if someone steals your wallet, they're not really stealing, they're redistributing finances.
If you reconfigure your log to fit, then some drunk hits you...clearly their fault, their lawyer will eat you alive. And before you say, "it won't happen to me", it might, especially in this hectic "me first" world where the 4-wheeler is always considered to be the victim. After 22 years out here, I have seen it happen to several drivers I worked with, 1 lost almost everything he worked decades to pay off, all because he wanted to "make it work" and someone lost control and drove under his trailer tandems.DOGSLIFE, spyder7723, driverdriver and 2 others Thank this. -
Need to adjust your diet so you will be tired when the clock runs out. Coffee and hot dogs only.

Fixed that for you, before @Dave_in_AZ came by, saw your transgression, and lost his #### on you......

Ok, so I get the "This just wont work for me mentality, so I have to ask, should they just have no rules so that everybody can do as they please when they please? YOU would be the first one crying if some 24hr cowboy falls asleep and runs into you.
You had a bad day, I get it, it happens, guess what it happens to me to, but I would be pissed at the place you del and picked up, not a recording device?spyder7723 and Tb0n3 Thank this. -
The one thing that makes drivers and trucking different from so many other occupations is that, from the beginning, truck drivers have always been able to adapt and preserver in the face of tough times and challenges. The majority will survive in the case of elogs as well I have a feeling.

OK, but your refusal to move is not the fault of the e-log. Isn't there a FJ or TA with a ton of parking along the way?Trucker61016 Thanks this.

Using words like "Reconfigure" or "manipulate" doesn't take away from the fact that if you don't log it like it happens you are not following the HOS. Same argument bull haulers trying to make. Oh yes they have "legal" logs to show the DOT, but they need an exemption from the ELD mandate. Why? Because they aren't following the HOS and the ELD mandate is going to shine the light of truth on them.KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this.
