    Well in that case they can penalize the carrier. Think about what you're saying. It's a company installed camera that is de facto evidence. Video is admissible in court. The judge would slap the cop for issuing a ticket.

    ECM records are also admissible in court..it would have shown that the seat belt is fastened. He could have initiated a CER also that would have shown the belt was fastened. What I am saying is"no need for a driver cam"...

    I love this thread. It's very useful for filtering out the chaff. All it took was entering "Cox Trucking" in the search box to find it. A bunch of "Companies currently using driver cameras..." links dominate the search results for that company.

    PFG uses rear-facing cameras that record all the time. Disclaimer - this is hearsay. Another driver claims this happened to him.

    There was a driver who covered it when he was about to go to bed, and got a phone call within 5 minutes asking why the camera was covered. He wasn't happy about that.

    not working for a mega anymore... was looking at a L/P - not going to happen now... looking at buying a truck, and no one is putting a camera in my truck
