In that part of Auburn CA.on I 80 there is a couple of turns with about 3 on ramps which are very short run up. He probably was speeding down the hill and got caught up with 4 wheelers that don't know how to merge

Yep, I watched a truck bump a suv in the rear today right next to me, he was trying to pass me in the right lane, we were in a slow down due to wreck in construction zone, there was no reason for him to need to pass me, especially on the right, was car ahead of me doing 45 mph I just keep a good safe distance always and here he came. He was looking at my truck so he could jerk over in front of me but I had to give it alittle gas getting up the hill at this time which in turn he couldn’t come over in front me and then bam he hit the suv in front him, was a rolling hit so it was bad and no injury’s I don’t think. I told him that’s what u deserve driver on cb but said that 4 wheeler didn’t deserve it. He blamed me over cb said it was my fault cause I wasn’t keeping up with traffic lol.. I just laughed and rolled on

I agree with 'why kill the bees". Bee populations are down, we need all the bees we can get.

In the world of "everything must keep moving and be cleaned up" I bet it was quicker just to spray foam and shovel it up. Lame.

I don't think they would just fly away though....that would take a LONG time. They would stick together and protect and defend and build right on the spot!

The truck is gone but the smashed bee boxes are still there as of today. They tried foaming the bees but they still were buzzing around, they are hardy bees they should try to keep them alive. By the way a bee keeper was called in first to collect all the queens he could find . He claimed he got most of them.

My guess is they didn’t want to risk any of those bees cross breeding with Africanized bees, which are highly aggressive if provoked and have established a foothold in Southern California.

A truck load of bees is between 100 and 120 separate colonies. If not killed off they will migrate and make new homes in attics and exterior walls. Even a weak colony consists of over 50 THOUSAND individual bees, you don't want to risk them moving into your neighborhood.

Search you tube for bee house infestations.
