We had a redshouldered hawk juvie show up in our patch of trees causing all the birds and small game to vanish. Did some research prior to taking it out with either the colt or a sling shot ball bearing. Found out it's a minimum of 10K in fines and jail time under federal law vs protected birds.

Trying to simply scare it with the big bad scary human 4 feet from where it's perched on the tree limb does not work. It literally had no fear and evaluated me as lunch potentially. I know when I am beaten LOL.

 

I bet swift wouldn't hit oe of these
