I’m sure this has been posted before but what’s the best way to mount generator? Side box or catwalk? Looking at the Honda EU3000is

@HalpinUout had an excellent thread on how he did that

    Or was it @Hurst

I can't be sure, but one of these fellas did it with that same generator

Saw a guy the other day with generator sitting on the ground under his trailer with extension cord to the cab. I suppose it keeps away the noise then strap it to catwalk when time to roll.

Mine is in one of the side boxes on my trailer. Remote start and wired in with the other lines with a twist lock. When I park I just bungee the doors open. Before I leave I close them up. I bolted it down in the front left corner so I can twist it out to fill with fuel then just twist it back in after. Mine is a champion so it may be diffrent?

Last one I had on the catwalk for over a year but the salt took its toll. Still runs and works great but the frame is toast.

Ooooh - yes - good topic. And there's lots of great threads on here on tips and tricks to do so.

I'd go for the cheaper Champion generators, mounted on the trailer, or well muffled on the catwalk - the Honda's are way over priced for the general needs you're seeking.

In saying that - I have a lightly used EU2000 for sale !

If so - they needed it more than I, and good luck (and karma) to them. :)
