$850 a week? That's not worth it; you make About the same or more at a beverage distributor or food service.
zigstar Thanks this. -

True that. You're sacrificing less labor for more "hours on the clock", and the possibility of blowing up. I very rarely work more than 10 hour days; to do 10-14 hour days constantly would suck and would break down your hourly wage to about 12-13 an hour.

FYI Just so you know any time you're paid a percentage whether it's as a driver or O/O you can during the companies regular business hours request to see the actual billing invoices that pertain to the loads you hauled so you can actually see what the customer was billed. Of course there is a good chance that you won't be working for them after you do that but you can make that demand. Under Federal law they are required to show you. If they refuse or there is a discrepancy in the amount you were paid and what the customer was billed you can sue for that. Just remember it's a long nasty fight.

Local Florida driving jobs are very competitive and not very many of them around which also drives the wages down. It's one of the downsides to living there IMO.

Some or many of the fuel haulers in South Florida expect 6 day/night work weeks. 10-12 hours per shift or more.
